So maybe I am not a blogger...

... Or maybe fixing our house just takes up a lot of time and I have been super busy.  Okay, okay, I hear you excuses (though sometimes legit) are always excuses.  Well, I am asking anybody who reads this stuff to excuse my long lapse of updating.

We did move into the upstairs of our house back around Easter Sunday (why do we do these things around major holidays?).  We have two bedrooms up there that y'all have not seen at all.  ...and if my laundry does not get folded,  you might not see today either.

So since the time that we bought our house, this new rage has taken over the way we store information from the internet- Pinterest! This single website was at first a very good tool for covetousness (wanting something other people have that I don't have).  Once I recognized that it was using me, not me using it... I went down to Tuesday being pinterest day.  After a while, (with the LORD's help) I was able to see what stuff could be helpful for fixing our house, and what was just I don't have this and I want it.  So now that my husband has seen my Pinterest fails and successes, he has come around to listening to what I have "pinned" for our different rooms.

My son's room was the first to room to fall at my wannabe interior decorator hand. But it still is waiting on some cool curtains that I must zip up (and currently have all the supplies for).  So Pics of his room will go up sooner than any other.

Our current project in the house is remodeling what was the downstairs Bathroom.  There is going to have to be a major overhaul.  Every interior wall in this house is concrete block.  We discovered this when we gutted it of plumbing and electricity and wallpaper.  We also discovered that those same walls were painted pepto pink.  So, many walls in this house are and have come down (like Jericho! --not reallly).  One of the walls that is doomed to be downed is the one between the downstairs bath and kitchen.  When that is gone we can put the washer and dryer in the bathroom instead of  in the kitchen.  My dear husband had to lay a self-leveling sub-laminate flooring since we removed the ugly dirty tiles. When we did that, we saw taht the floor , which now was down to the concrete foundation, was tilted towards the corner.  Water was running out the side of our house between the wall and foundation.  That was interesting!  So we are fixing that too!

Well, I have to go feed the chickens, rabbits, ducks, kittens, and children.

Pray for me as school starts next Monday and I am teaching 1st grade for the first time, and K5 for the second time (Maybe this time I'll get it right)!

Love you all that ask about us, and keep up with us, and pray for us!
